THE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION COURSE
You have three options for purchasing the home based medical transcription course:
Option A - Medical Transcription Text Workbook with CD.
( $467.00 plus $34.95 s&h)
This version is a hard copy of our medical transcription course which includes the text workbook and digital voice files on CD
for dictation. If you choose this option you will need to purchase the Olympus AS2000 Transcription Kit/Foot Switch/Head Set
with DSS Software ($215 + $10 s&h) for your computer, which you can add to your order on our order page.
** Option A is the most popular choice because students get a hard copy
of the medical transcription course along with two laminated charts.
Upon completion of the medical transcription course you will be given a final exam and upon obtaining satisfactory results,
receive a certificate of completion.
Option B - Digital online download of our medical transcription course. You can download the entire medical transcription course
(text workbook and voice files) from the our secure site. You also need the Olympus AS2000 Transcription Kit/Foot Switch/Head Set with DSS Software ($215 + $10 s&h) for your computer,
which you can add to your order on our order page.
Upon completion of the medical transcription course you will be given a final exam and upon obtaining satisfactory results,
receive a certificate of completion.
Option C - This version of the medical transcription course is also a digital download, but you can pay for it
in 3 Easy Payments of $249.95.
This option includes the Olympus AS2000 Transcription Kit/Foot Switch/Head Set, which will be shipped to you when you place your order.
How it works:
- Section 1 arrives the day you place your order.
- Section 2 arrives 30 days from order date.
- Section 3 arrives 60 days from order date.
Your credit card will be charged $249.95 when each section is sent to you. (3 monthly installments)
Upon completion of the medical transcription course you will be given a final exam and upon obtaining satisfactory results,
receive a certificate of completion.
SOFTWARE
As a service to our students, we offer a medical/pharmaceutical spell check. You do not have to have this for the course, but we highly recommend having it, as it will make the course easier for you to go through, as well as increase your accuracy on your final exam.
BOOKS
Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary is the only book required to start this course. You will need all of the other books before you complete the course and start working.
